or at least the process should be delayed to ensure that treated water is made available for cooling tower rather than water which can be used for drinking.
because when water shortage is present, rather than cutting supply to electricity to IR (which is a very important customer) electricity is cut off for normal people, so at the end of the day its the common man who suffers.

Nuclear power plant could be a better option in drought hit / prone areas
Nuclear power plant is just a thermal power plant which uses uranium rather than coal to heat water. the primary requirement of water in TPS is for water used in cooling water (as the water in boiler is De-Mineralised or DM water which flows in closed loop and doesn't evaporate much), and the same is also required in Nuclear power plant.
IR shall be accepted our Power Minister s proposal early and Electrify all tracks early i.e. with in 3 to 4 years so as to save energy and environmental friendly mode of transportation.
