Query for Okha Rameshwaram Express (6734) for 2 Tier AC. I have booked 3 tickets for Surat to Rameshwaram on 30 March and 9 April for return journey. For both I got confirmed, for ST to RMM I got seat no. 2(Upper Birth), 4(Upper Birth) & 5(Side Lower) and for RMM to ST I got 11(Side Lower), 17(Side Upper) & 18(Side Lower). I am going with my parents who are above 50. I have heared that at the time of chart preparation, RAC will get side lower or upper by sharing it with other people ? Whether it means that though I got confirmed my all tickets, I may have to share with RAC (Reservation against cancellation) people. ? and I want to know about this trains, about safety at night, whether people without reservation, boarding this train ? and one more question, for Upper birth and Side upper...

Dear Ketan,
You don't worry u dont have to share your seats with anyone because you got fully confirmed tickets thats why nobody will allot your berth with RAC people. Wish you Happy Journey.

The blogger 'HD' has answered one part of your question and he is right. no need of sharing as it is a confirmed berth.
Regarding the other question of upper berths, = there is a provision just above the lower berth for to get to the upper berth. 50 yr old can easily get into that unless they have some physical problems. you can also request your co-passenger to exchange their seat with one of yours. i am sure somebody will do it. dont worry. have a nice comfortable and safe journey.

As you have written your berths are already confirmed and so no need to worry, you dont have to share your berths with any of the co passenger, only you are authorized to travel on your berths.
Regarding your query about allotment of Side Lower berths to RAC passenger is true but not 100%. Only those side lower berths are alloted to RAC passengers which are kept only for RAC.
