Push-pull arrangement like this can really help reduce the jerks in CBC coaches. With both locos powered on, the coupling slack will be less and there will be lesser chance of jerks. Hope this experiment of NWR works out well.

yeah, lhb couplrs give lot of jerks especially old couplers...also they get wear tear easily difficult to maintain as well.. so jerk reduction and fuel reduction are main targets of these push pull trains.
