@ moderator : i think this is the fastest train in india as per average speed. for the calculations of average speed the train stoppage times are deducted from the total journey time. however for duronto the time lost at technical stops is not deducted and hence the average speed calculation is incorrect. i think the avg speed of this train is much higher than 89+. it myt also beat the bhopal shatabdi in terms of avg speed, not max speed. imagine what would have been the speed of this train if it had started from howrah instead of sealdah (sealdah to dankuni is a slow speed restricted section)
You are right. The matter is largely responded / discussed in blog entry # 18439. Once necessary details are collected, suitable changes will be made by the site moderator for information on technical stops and the true calculation of the train avg. moving speed.
Can I expect a new coach in Duranto AC 3 now. The last time I travelled in November the coach was old non rajdhani type ac coach....no charging points , no reading lights etc
