Shri Ratan Lal, Addl. General Manager, N.F.Railway has awarded two mail/express drivers for showing alertness and devotion to duty. Md. Rohimuddin, Loco Pilot and Md. Ikramul Islam, Asst. Loco Pilot while piloting the 12423 Rajdhani Express on 09.04.2016 from Dibrugarh Town to Mariani Jn suddenly noticed uprooted trees lying on railway track between Lakwa and Simaluguri Jn at Km 428 / 5-3. Apprehending danger both the Loco Pilot and the Asst. Loco Pilot took timely action by showing alertness and applied emergency brake. They managed to stop the Rajdhani Express train within a short distance and thus prevented a major accident.

Md. Rohimuddin, Loco Pilot and Md. Ikramul Islam, Asst. Loco Pilot has been awarded Rs. 5,000/- (rupees five thousand) each by Shri Ratan Lal, Addl. General Manager, N.F.Railway at Maligaon in recognition of their meritorious service. Shri Alok Kumar Tewari, Chief Safety Officer, N.F.Railway were also present.
