The name MAIL was dismissed because the MAIL and Express old days are Different. Mail is given priority than expresses at that time. But after Express name attracted people they preferred it and Mails also become Express. Now a days some expresses doing Mail jobs with Mail halts. for Ex:- East coast some times carry RMS coaches. Lokshakti is having RMS coach. And i saw 2/3 times Konark also used RMS coach.(previously KONARK was from BBS-SC only. from SC it was made as MINAR Express to Mumbai.) but Both merged now as KONARK) Just name changed but not the duty.
