गौरतलब है कि डिलक्स के नाम से मशहूर पूर्वा एक्सप्रेस का सासाराम में ठहराव सुनिश्चित करने की स्थानीय लोगों की मांग लगभग तीन दशक पुरानी थी। इस ट्रेन का ठहराव सुनिश्चित कराने को ले रोहतास चेंबर आर्फ कॉमर्स के सदस्य रहे धनंजय खंडेलवाल ने काफी प्रयास किया था। यह शहरवासियों के अलावे क्षेत्रीय सांसदों के लिए भी प्रतिष्ठा का सवाल बन गया था।

Such a fool the ecr and politian is as it stop at DOS just 17 km away still they need poorva halt shame
With two trains acting as connecting trains for Poorva, Puru & MB just 30 mins ahead this looks an illogical move.
I don't think so. Because ssm ppl never find a birth in Puru and MB. If you talking about politics then i m completely disagree with this case only because ssm needs more trains for ndls. Except Puru & MB all trains has very odd timing at ssm. If you check the stops of Poorva you find so many useless halt like AUBR, tudla, etawah and many more. But i assure you ssm halts will never loss for poorva because so many passengers books tickets from SSM to NDLS and HWH.

Mr. Prem, congrats to you and other IRI Members (and passengers) from Sasaram. Personally, I don't believe in this 'prestige' issue since a train stoppage shouldn't be treated with a feudal mindset. I am myself against providing 'redundant' halts to long distance trains (especially Superfasts) but where a stoppage is genuinely required, it should be given. The Kalka Mail wasn't enough for passengers to travel between Sasaram and Calcutta/Delhi. Hence, Poorva was required. On the other hand, I don't prefer SF trains like Durgiana or Rajdhani Exp(s) to stop...

I meant if u have reservation in Poorva u may book from DOS and board at BBU, catch Puru or MB sleeper and change train. It would take 30 mins extra. As far as unreserved compartment is concerned none of the three have any hope as Puru Poorva have 2 while MB has 5 but are packed to abnormal capacity.
