I have a doubt regarding train waiting list quota. I searched for tickets in train 11078 Jhelum express from - Jammu Tawi to Delhi. Since the status was showing high waiting list (WL 224 in SL for 30th June), I thought of checking availability end-to-end i.e. from Jammu Tawi to Pune hoping to find lesser waiting or confirmed ticket. Surprisingly the status was same in both the cases. My doubt is that when railway will clear the waiting list on chart preparation, is it possible that JAT-NDLS WL gets preferred over JAT-PUNE waiting list or other way round? Or will the waiting list get cleared only by number in this case as quota is same and lower one will first get confirmed?
