dakshgautam1999 921 blog postsBefore Ratnagiri,the engine of this train developed issues with Vacuum Brakes and got stuck in a long tunnel.While repairing work was being carried on by IR technicians,both,the LP as well as ALP got down and sat in the guard's cabin.The train,being on an downward incline,started to roll downwards and ran driverless for almost 15 KMs.After 15 KMs,on an upward incline when the train slowed down,the LP and ALP risked their lives and jumped out of moving train to get into the loco and control the train.The train was carried ahead by another loco uptill Chiplun.

Oh thats sad. Very loose work 15KMS is nt a sort distance train would have been derailed too.
LP & ALP will be suspended for sure if this news is true. Why the technicians who were repairing the loco don't applied the brakes?
