In monsoon season IR runs pilot trains ahead of passenger trains in some identified sections which are prone to landslides , means freight train runs ahead of passenger train. Freight loco pilot then conveys to controller that track is fit for running train then superfast train will run on that section.
This leads to 1-2 hour delays but ensures full safety of passengers.
