The Yeshwanthpur-Mangalore train, which will be extended to Karwar next month, will skip Mangalore Central Railway Station.
The train will go to Karwar via Mangalore Junction at Kankanady as proposed in the railway budget for 2011-12.
S.K. Raina, Divisional Railway Manager, Palghat Division, Southern Railway, told a meeting here on Friday that if the extended train was made to operate via Mangalore Central Railway Station, it would disrupt the services of other trains plying via Mangalore Central Railway Station to Kerala, Goa, and Maharashtra.
