Atleast run one pair of DD between New Delhi Amritsar, and i'm pretty sure that it would do better than all DD's.
Reasons for its prompted success are as under -
- There is no such Volvo nexus operating between Delhi-Amritsar.
- And if at all there is, the volvos cost minimum Rs.1000/seat one side which is pretty hefty.

Time taken by volvos is almost 9-10 hrs whereas DD can cover it in 6-7 hrs flat.
- Amritsar is a 12 month tourist destination and is quite popular due to Wagah border and ofcourse Golden temple so dry runs will be minimum.
- Jam pack running of two shatabdi's are proof that this sector needs one more AC single day up n down express.
Hence, ek trial to banta hai... :)
