Btw why dont u compare india and china in mortality rate,Number of malnourished children,Number of farmers committing suicides,Number of people dying each year in rail related accidents, percentage of population below poverty line..Just because you are living a lavish life and you can buy even a ticket to mars doesn't mean that everyone is prosperous enough in our country...we live in a country where a person spending 27 rupees a day isnt considered poor..

India has a huge middle class population too who travels in Planes, buy tickets of AC coaches and is ready to pay for services. Indian Domestic Airline Industry is growing with max. pace in the whole world. Shouldn't the county do anything for those taxpayers too? India is not only for poor but for all. By going with your logic all those things which the poor people of this country can't afford should be removed!!! These socialist things seems very pretty to speak but harsh to experience. Why don't you travel in general coaches then, why spending that much money on AC tickets which you can give to any poor in charity. At-last the main motive is traveling whether in general or AC coach that shouldn't matter. Will you do that??? Development should be for all and no country can prosper if it focuses on only one class. Development of...

all classes can be done simultaneously. Who said this that if Bullet train comes in India then no other General trains will run or no new General train will be started?? Bullet trains introduction will have no impact on other trains that poor or deprived section of our society travels in. And, now plz don't say that fare of trains will be increased because of High speed rail project. Fare of Indian Railways will be increased because it's required. You can't travel thousand kilometers by paying even less price than that of a Taxi fare.
And second, for comparing all these things with China one needs data from both sides. Can you provide me real data for these parameters concerning to China??? A Country where using Twitter and fb is banned. One can't use youtube there. How can you expect that it will provide real stats regarding these parameters to any agency?? And last, I belong to a profession which starts with socialism, we don't discriminate between poor and rich. I interact with that much poor people that many of others haven't even seen in their life so don't say that I live a lavish life & I have no understanding regarding the poor of this country.

NE region was very backward & had was very poor connection with rest of India at the time of Independence. Rail & Road connections were established on priority after India got independence. A lot of development did took place in NE after independence esp. Assam which got connected well quite early by 1980s/90s and many further eastern states like Manipur, Nagaland etc were connected (poorly) by road to Assam. People of this region so could not join the main stream of the nation in a complete manner in spite of the fact that Indian Govt spend very heavily on them while starving its mainland contributing states. Huge financial allocation to NE projects (all of them financially bleeding), many of them being prioritized as National Projects, bear testimony to this fact.

insurgency in northeastern states esp. ones sharing border with Bangladesh is a result of political expediency of nurturing vote bank, post creation of Bangladesh. Tacit help given by Indian Govt to Bangladeshi migrants to NE states and the most backward and out of media focus area of India i.e. Bastar region of erstwhile MP or todays Chhatisgarh, did pay rich political dividents to the political masters. This nurturing continued and the people of under developed NE region of India continued getting alienated, even before development could actually reach them. The emotional scars still remains in the psyche of the local people.
Tibet is also very underdeveloped as compared to rest of China. Not much percolation of 3 decades of break neck development of China has actually reached Tibet. There is feeling of alienation in people of Tibet, as it was annexed by China long ago (1950) by force. The rail line is constructed to fulfil fast rising international aspirations of China to become a global leader, as well as to use the natural resources of Tibet, in order to boost their economy.

Most vehemently opposing criticisers of HST in parliament sessions are the ones who had announced the Mumbai-Ahmedabad in the same parliament many times earlier when they were presenting the Rail budget! But they were be-fooling the Indian public by not implementing the same since many years! Now the other Govt. started implement it, after managing a never before almost interest free loan agreement with Japan much to the benefit of India, they are crying horse and criticising it tooth and nail.!!
The same criticisers lobbied hard & did all out efforts to prevent construction of rail lines (including HST lines), roads & other industries through successfully blocking of Land acquisition bill. Ironically they brought in similar bill in parliament about 7-8years

ago when they were ruling, in order to facilitate the economic progress of country and claim credit for it. If others do development, then block it, else they will get credit. So priority is political interests and national interests come at secondary or tertiary level or not considered at all. If the bullet train project is successful they will claim it to be their original project. Media will propagate and majority of the Indians will believe as well!! If it turns out to be a failure they will criticise more vehemently.
In India most of the discussions are done in the interest of gaining political mileage out of every oppotunity however sensitive it may be, and not for the development of nation and LONG TERM benefit/ development of people.
HST cost cannot be recovered through fares only, other benefits like boost to economic activities, life of people etc have also to be considered. The economic rate of return of Mumbai-Ahm project is estimated at a decent 12%.
Chinese had a business interest of becoming the world leader in HST transporter, most cost effective Manufacturer & Supplier of Technology. It has taken a big risk of investing very huge capital and so far had been successful in many (not all) ways. Ultimate success depends on how much economic benefits they can reap at home and how much they can earn through export of HST Technology. There has been good development in the cities connected with HST.
Dear friend, at the juncture of our independence, British PM Winston Churchill jibed at India stating that Indians were not fit (educated, aware and wise enough) for democracy, much to chagrin of Indians. We may be amongst the well educated ones, but still majority of Indian vote by caste, communal lines and easily get be fooled by Media & Politicians. Very strong anti-incumbancy factor in every elections is a testimony to this and indicator of the performance of yje India governance. Is our democracy a real democracy?
Majority of People and leaders both are happy today, former by way getting alms through Govt subsidies and later by having the masses dependent on them by splurging the national wealth & hard earned taxpayer’s money (2% of Indian population) for political benefits in the name of helping poor. While the poor become bonded to the former for want of bounty showered on them by the former.
People should be ready to work hard in their interest as well as the in the national interest. They should demand development, expansion of industries, employment & economy and creation of employment opportunities for all the Indians, so that they can rightfully earn money & purchase rice by paying 25 Rs kg from market with pride rather than asking for subsidies or remaining dependent on subsidies. Today Indians are busy demanding subsidy in every thing, many demanding inclusion of their cast in minorities category/ reserved category, there is very little demand of increasing GDP, growth of nation, reasonable percolation of the benefits there of to all the Indians. Today after centuries of facing divide and rule, so divided are we, that unity and self-pride has gradually eroded away from the heart/mind and remain mostly on tongue & paper.
Unless we, the Indians develop the capability to distinguish between the doer and the leg puller, and develop resolve to elect the best performers to lead our nation, irrespective of cast, religion, regionalism, the soul of late Winston Churchill continues to have the last laugh over us.
