electrification is one way of advancement in technology. Diesel locos also needs improvement. but electrification is good in long way sustainable energy terms. see europe japan china they are switched over to electrics. swiss have 100% electrified network. Smart Grid technology is not developed in IR so in future wastage will be reduced and In electrified tracks diesel locos can be run but vice versa is not possible so it is good to go for electrification

While good to see Kerala having maximum electrification percentage, it is ironical that speeds despite large section being electrified is quite slow compared to other sectors, primarily due to topography and single line is quite a few sections .

single line is not problem. MPS is low due to terrains and enormous stoppages in enroute reducing speeds. if u feel single line cant perform see vaigai OLD TT..
