i have booked tickets to tirupathi by Bhubaneswar tirupathi express. However, even though i booked 2 months in advance out of 10 berths booked and 8 females in it, not a single lower berth was alloted., which i find quite strange from Visakhpatnam.
it baffles me, i have no answer for my folks too. how is the logic given inspite of so many announcements that females will be alloted lower berths.

Just for information, the train did stop at simachalam sharp at 330, when it reached. Passenger can go down, else opt vizianagaram. Check whether the train you booked from vskp to tpty is in general quota and how many berths are vacant at the time if booking. If they are less or if its in quota system then u I'll not get lower berths. Its not safe to alight at simhachalam north at 3 30 unearthly hours as there is no platform and transport facility from there that too with women and not a daily user of that station. Ordering food by apps I'll costs you 150-200 per person per meal and its multicusine menu.
You need to use Lower Berth quota. To use that, only 2 persons in 1 PNR should be booked. That means you should book separately. Otherwise, the system will provide the berths on its own.
