1949-Silliguri Town to Haldibari line converted from BG to MG SGUJ built, Assam Rail Link NG to MG conversion
1950-Teesta Valley line abandoned
1965(or so?)- NJP built new BG line, BG extended (MG line was converted to BG) to Haldibari. DHR extended to NJP.
