During doubling, Rajpura-Patiala-Dhuri-Bathinda to have latest Electronic Interlocking system. Earlier, in November 2014, Panel Interlocking was sanctioned for the single line, now, that tender has been scrapped and the S&T work has been attached with doubling, with EI system. Authorities have asked engineers to modify the design of new S&T buildings for the provision of EI.
DE and DPR are under sanction, work may start by December or January.
