New is half incorrect.
Ernad departed NCJ with delay of 1hour and in run it got attained another 30min late, by the time it reached Thuravoor. So point that Ernad left TVC 3.35 is baseless. JS also got almost same delay of 30min by the time it reached Thuravoor. Really bad part from passenger of ernad.
And finally because of this travellers from both the train suffered. Both the train got delayed by another 1.5 hours. For an overtake, this passenger association people stopped a train and ended up...

I think that is precisely the reason why so many trains are not being speeded up fearing repercussions from the numerous passenger associations.
Venad express wastes almost 2 hours right from departure from Aluva, arrival at ERS, loco reversal, lots of slack and then finally departure.
Island express has been allotted almost 1 hour between Tripunithura and ERN to cover 13 km of double line.

Leave the venad. Our Dhanbad-Alleppey. Train which departs from CBE at 11AM, reaching ALLP only at 9.15. Almost 10hour 15min for such a small distance.
Clear indication of Kerala's very bad attitude of Passenger association. There are many such trains which becomes prey of this. Like YPR-CAN, DHN-ALLP, MS-MAQ,Island.
I feel sorry for SR, they are helpless and cant do anything with speed up of our trains bcoz of such association.

There was lots of protest earlier and media highlight regarding DHN-Allp run from SRR till Allp. And in this time table they simply did one thing... They delayed the arrival at SRR by giving 2 hour running time between CBE-PGT. It now arrives late at SRR. The new time is 2:40pm & arrives ERS at 5:30pm.
Even though 3 hours is still too much, yet it is a good time for people to board at ERS going towards Allp. Two weeks back when i saw this train at ERS, i found it to be almost jampacked with daily passengers

For this daily passenger service only, a long distance train has been made to run like that in CBE-PGT run. In spite of a passenger training running behind this train. They want a long distance train.
