Good news for the public of both pune and DD as CR released its ofcl press release for starting elocos on Pune-DD section from 6 october 2016 so that day will be the golden day for both cities passengers and now EMU can b extended to DD also instead of b/w Lonavla-Pune only now

from 6 oct all goods trains will be hauled by elocos to run b/w Pune-DD section and after 10 days means on 16 october all exp/mail/sf etc. trains will also be hauled by elocos so very great news after so many years of wait
Will daund station be a technical stop for trains to change loco there.
yes DD will be the technical stop untill electrification b/w DD-Guntakal will not be completed and now a DD bypass is needed so that trains from Pune/CST/LTT going towards MMR shud go bypassing DD and lots of time will be saved and travel time will also be decreased b/w Pune-DD-MMR
Nope.. all through running trains will not stop at Daund.
For them loco change will be at Pune only.
Daund station is big in length, station and then goods yard, so it will take atleast 20-30 mins for deceleration/loco change/acceleration.
While trains like 17222, 18520 will cover Pune end outer to Solapur end outer in just 2-3 mins with 80-100 Kmph.
