Earlier, the number of special trains operated by SECR was negligible as compared to other zones. This year SECR have operated large number of special trains with special fares which is much more than previous years, but no regular fare new train (is there any?) has been introduced.
What the news paper reports is a surprise!! News paper reports that, there is waiting list even in Special trains (mostly special fare trains) and Rly officials are also taking credit for it. Still there is waiting list (upto 5th nov’16) in regular trains upto 115, that too inspite of attachment of extra coaches in many trains. Everything is normal.

how come a headline in the news paper that "IR has introduced so many trains that passengers have fallen short of the train capacity"? Is it just meant to catch the attention of readers? It gives a first hand impression that there are surplus trains and no traffic from the region. Waiting lists in the regular trains strongly indicates that demand is not fulfilled and a large number of passengers are not planning journey due to the existing waiting lists.
If a special train was cancelled due to lesser number of bookings, then it needs to be confirmed that was it a suvidha train? If people cannot afford suvidha train, then are they not eligible to be considered as a bonafide passenger to ascertain the traffic requirements of the region?.
