i have never seen any train with train No 06037S or 06038S... Is this "S" in train number allotted by IR???? I copied the train Number as 06038S from this site and the reservation supervisor told there is no such train with 06038S and its only 06038.. I dont know Y u people provide such wrong information leading to the confusion between commutators.....

The tag 'S' refers to a spl train and usually the train is updated according to the TT in the official site. If the train number doesnt have 'S', then it would be updated accordingly.
Pls correct if this is wrong.

As explained by others it is introduction Special. As it is leading to confusions, moderator has agreed to remove it.

What do you mean by "If the train number doesnt have 'S', then it would be updated accordingly. "??
In the initial days, 'S' was used to denote one day special trains, which was run as an introductory train for a single day before the official launch/runnings of new trains.
Later 'S' was used to denote all the trains which had a specified

last day of run; i.e. train running for one day, two days or thrice and ultimately losing its existence.
This is why the trains are now referred to as 'Intr (Introductory) Specials.
