It is a question of Manhood/Motherhood for a Husband/Wife, so the couple must bear a child to shut mouth of people or to continue their generation. Similarly today each Govt/RM has to create a new branded train(s) which will commemorate its creator for long time after the present govt./RM is gone.

- the overnight ac double decker chaircar train with a concept to carry more passengers on saturated route
- what will be its future when more than half of the ac dd chair car trains are a failure even during day journey.
- If you really want to carry more paxs with existing infrastructure, then replace the general coaches with non ac double decker coaches in the full length trains(24ICF/22LHB).

- much better facilities and higher speed and exclusive travel for general class long distance passengers.
-Shall add to extremely loss making second class travel and add to subsidy burden of IR.
-Promoting long distance 1000km+ unreserved travel is illogical thinking, non ac sleeper travel should be promoted.
-Basically providing extra facilities to already pampered (very low fare) paxs. How many general class paxs are in habit of drinking RO water is any body’s guess. Why make extra expenditure to give a facility which the taker shall not appreciate. Instead, the general class paxs shall appreciate more if IR spends the same amount by giving rebate in non ac general fares. A financial folly and worthless spending which will increase losses of IR and at the same time does not give desired happiness to the beneficiaries. Providing water purifier in general coaches is easy but maintaining them is going to be very difficult task. Possibility of theft is also very high.
TEJAS-(High speed intercity chair car super premium trains with upgraded facilities)
- Not a useful concept
- First the Gatiman and now Tejas. Instead of upgrading the facilities in already running Shatabdies, creating new brands of trains will only create more monuments of present govt/RM.
- It would be better if some of the hot shatabdies like BCT-ADI,NDLS-LKO, NDLS-ASR,NDLS-CDG etc are upgraded to the proposed Tejas Standards and fare increased by 10% rather than introducing new tejas train which will not be in a position to compete with successful Shatabdies.
- Tejas is just upgraded Shatabdi,
HUMSAFAR-Upward extrapolation of ACIII coach as against downward extrapolation in case of Garib Rath. Better facilities for ACIII paxs with extra fare.
- Concept of little use
- No different than ACIII in Rajdhani, except some extra features.
- Lower fare and much lower flexifare as compared to Rajdhani is the case of Govt promoting its child (Humsafar) over the others (Rajdhani). It is injustice to the paxs of Raj who shall be paying more for the inferior service.
- The enhanced facilities provided in Humsafar coaches should have been provided in Rajdhani/ Duronto coaches which have higher fares than the Humsafar coaches.
- Only ACIII coach Humsafar is not a good concept, ACII/ACI coaches should also be there so that better occupancy can be achieved for Humsafar trains and better revenue to IR and more opportunity/options could be given to ACII/ACI class paxs also.
So there is no originality in all the 4 concepts and all the creation of all the 4 new classes could have been avoided.
