My booking says that the boarding point is SBC but I want to board from Cant. stn since there are senior citizens with me and its difficult for them to take the bridge. I believe in Cant. it comes on Platform1. Can I do this? How much time does it stop at Cant. ?

No need to change the boarding station. Just get in the train at Cantt Station.
I will board from Cant. I believe the train stops here at Platform1 and theres no need to take the overhead bridge. Is that right?
I am not sure about the platform number at cant ,it stops on the Jaymahal side of the station. All train gouing out of SBC stop on this platform while all trains going towards SBC from KJM stops on the other platform which is towards the Vasanth nagar side.
Ask the auto/taxi person to stop on the back side enterance connected at PF-7 from where this train starts. You need not use the stairs in this case and boarding will be easy
