GM of SR says they will look and consider the request of introducing new train from mangalore to Rameshwaram Via Palakkad,Pollachi .
this was the reply received by palakkad MP yesterday.
some other MP's has also given request to start Rammeshwaram-guruvayur train and extension of cbe-tpty intercity to guruvayur,and cbe-maq intercity to madgoan.

This is an age old demand sir which has been placed right from the completion date of the Gauge conversion between Palakkad town and Pollachi

Request will be considered. It does not assure the running of this train. Media hype at its best! I agree that a train is required on this route.
