At 62 kmph, this is the slowest Duronto launched so far and certainly not the fastest connection between NDLS and LKO

Why the passengers who prefers this train won't mind for 1 hr 20 min extra time ? Why do they not mind ? The question of passengers preferring this train over others could arise only if there are other more faster trains (over night) either originating or passing through LKO.
They do definitely mind but they will succumb and go in this train for want of alternatives. One more reason for minding is that Fare wise the difference is only that of catering component which is there in Shatabdi. Hopefully, there are no technical halts in this duronto. Faster travel is the backbone for durontos introduction and that purpose is defeated here.

it is not a question why 'they' don't mind! Why are you having problems with the choices of passengers? Please see the availability of the train. After Lucknow Mail departs on Sun/Thu/Fri, the Duranto is the next most convenient and fast connection to LKO. Please also read carefully the second part of my posting : ''all and sundry ...." I leave at 2330 and arrive at 7.40 am which suits me perfectly. Good night rest, no stoppages to have to worry about my luggage, and no passengers boarding or detraining, so what's my problem..? For that matter what is YOUR problem .. It is the customer's choice isn't it? Good wishes.
Mr. Murli, nobody as such can prevail upon the choices of passengers. Given the choices, the passengers would prefer the best and here there are no better choices at all. Plz again read my earlier reply. Which is another train (overnight) faster than Duronto from LKO to NDLS ?
The heavy booking or no availability in the train can not be termed as more people preferring this train. This is just bcoz they have no choices.

train no. 2225 kaifiyat express leave Lucknow Jn. at 23:15 hrs. and reach delhi at 7:00 hrs. is it duranto . so my point is that lko duranto has no use as far as speed of duranto standard concerned .instead of that 2233 lko-ndls ac exp should run daily.
The gift of 'Slowest Duronto of India' for Lucknow is cruel joke for residents of this city.
