thats Udhna junction taking ftrains from surat to nagpur. Thats why u see a track going east of surat
surat is a junction as it has three lines going thru it(1 2 vadoara-ahmedabad/delhi..1 to mumbai..and other 2 bhsaval-howrah/chennai..so surat is 1 of biggest junctions
Come on Surat is not a junction. It is Udhna junction which is close to surat station. It is from Udhna junction from where a track goes east towards bhusawal. Please do not pass on inaccurate information.

The blogger seems to be confused about the Junction status to any particular station. It is given to a station from where more than one railway routes exist and thus more than one train routes from that Jn. station.
From Surat, it is true thats you get trains for Vadodara / Ahmedabad / Delhi, Mumbai and Bhusaval / Howrah / Chennai but they all run on single route till the particular jn. station. Eg. From Surat, Bhusaval / Howrah / Chennai trains...
