Garib Rath -Poor Man's chariot.
An unconventional name and train which has attracted all sections of people.
Introduced by then RM Laloo, I feel that this one good job he had done in his regime.
Started in way back 2005, this GR is finding trouble to find its own spance and a tougher fight between the latest durunto.

its called as Poor Man's Chariot, the pricing is above the SL class and lesser than the general 3rd AC.
Personally, the SL people still find their own difficulty to reach the price of GR but the price cannot be lessened than the present.
Despite having all positive reports regaring all factors, why wasnt any GR has taken birth in the recent times?
Garib Rath is turning out be like a girl child nowadays. Due to political changes and mileage which needs to accquired by every RM,
the birth of Durunto's had shattered the GR existence out and completely.
There were several duruntos which were runaway hit and the frequency had been increased too.
Hope, new GR's would take place at least from now such that it helps the true 'Poor Man' else just the way chariot's have become extinct or displayed at Muesuem's, this GR would follow the same suite.

it is easy to get the answer. these trains are run at subsidised fares. they cant run too many. infact running of present ones is a burden and RM is trying to reduce burden.you know the present oil prices, and prices of other amenities those have to be provided
most of the GRs run with high speed, as intercities with least stops.Also these are alternate to VIP trains in those routes. may i know where the princlple of GR is utilised?
better IR cancels all the GRs. people may object politically but everyone

knows inherently that it is not feasible.
IR may run all the trains transparently and stop subsidising one at cost of other, for no reason.(as you know, GRs have no measures to carry poors, you cant say they are for poors.)
some illustrations:
SC-VSKP non-ac bus: Rs.530 (latest)
SC-VSKP ac bus: Rs.900
GR:Rs. 500
normal 3ac-725
Duranto-upto Rs850(atleast, including base fare, res charges, sf charges, safety surcharge etc.)
most of them start simultaneously but shall have wide fare difference. GR and duranto shall start simultaneously with 30min gap and will reach in the morning with 1hr diff. both are AC. but fare diff is RS.350 atleast.
