Pithapuram Kakinada new line is allotted 150cr in this budget can anyone give the rough alignment map of the line. I believe the line is 21km long and present pithapuram samalkot bypass kakinada town is around 22km. I couldnt understand what additional advantage IR derives when the existing route is FEDL and will take the same time. Could someone give more info of this line.

Actually I expected for survey of Bapatla - MTM - NS in this railway budget. But it didnt get any mention. But can expect soon after NS-KTPH works start in full pace.

Well said. GDV-TEL is more straight line compared to Vijayawada I think?
