It is badly required even if the proposed UDAY Express runs sir. Which all trains would you like to run?
From the above:
1. ADI HTE is a good option, but daily I guess is impossible because for now no train between RNC and LTT is even daily
2. Doubt over patronage especially when there are already enough trains in the morning to Mumbai
3. Sabarmati and PBR MFP already there. If considered then should cover PPTA.

2. Passengers have trouble changing over from Borivali/Dadar/Mumbai Central/Bandra Terminus to Central Railway and tickets to Kalyan not easily available as most of them are long distance trains. A Shatabdi would hence serve the purpose.
Completely AC train now furnished with dynamic faring. Although BRC, ST, Mumbai and Pune four big cities get connected, but still I am skeptical about patronage as Mumbai has enough trains to Pune along with a good road connection. Intercity/JS, yes, surely a green for them ;)
