Thondaiyarpettai station has to be proposed to develop as 4 th Terminal in the Northern part of the Chennai .

It was reported some time ago that Royapuram was facing some land acquisition problems as some of the required land is with the State government. TNP has quite a lot of railway land around the present station with several freight yards which removes teh land acquisition problems.

Sir,Royapuram has No feasibility for Terminal.
The electric shed could not be shifted and the station locked in between 2 flyovers.
Additional railway lands are not available .
But Thondaiyarpettai station has abandon Railway lands for providing Terminal.
