ADRA: Ahead of diversions, Adra div. has started station upgrading and section doubling. Stations lying between Kotshila-Gourinathdham are going to be upgraded to fully fledged stations rather than just halts. Chas road station serving the Purulia Government College and surrounding areas are going to get better facilities. Barbenda halt is going to be a *quadrupile track junction point to Muri and Bokaro. Section will be doubled along straightenings and speed upgrades upto 110kmph. A new station near Sidho Kanho Birsha University & Indraprastha colony in Purulia is planned after doubling. "Train connectivity to Bokaro and Ranchi will be smoother and increased in number..",said Anshul Gupta.
