The train belongs to SWR and SWR has not much Elec Loco but they have biggest WDP4 fleet in their kitty. Obviously the want to save Loco charge levied by SR for Electric Loco use.
WDP4 is used by SR for running trains to Southern TN like Pandian/Nellai Express. Same loco will come back hauling Sangamithra express from Chennai for maintenance to SWR shed.
