For the first time ever, a WDP4D ran on the Sakleshpur Mangalore route today.
KJM WDP4D 40246 hauled the inaugural special rake of Kudla Express to Mangalore Junction. Later, same rake reversed and left towards Bantwala/Jokatte to be stabled for the night mostly.

Are crossings allowed in Subramanya-Sakleshpura sections ?? The TT of Karwar ICE and this train are such that they have crossing in both directions in this section.
Yes. Crossings are allowed. But no downhill freights are allowed in ghats when a passenger is climbing up.
