Do not do so. The official name of the station is SIVAJINAGAR only. Please check the official website of railways before giving wrong suggestions.
i don't understand why we have to slavishly follow what is in the official website. In many cases, the spellings in the official website are flat out wrong. They really do not do spellchecks and other qa measures with their spellings. you can go to any timetable on the official website, and you will find that I am correct. Mr MST is right because if you post the name of the station with the 'correct' spelling, passengers using the forum may NOt be able to locate the station on the site, since it is linked to the official website. Try Shivajinagar on www.indiarail.gov.in and then come back and advise please.
@all others :
This calls for one time exercise (to update the spellings of all railway stations, train names) to be undertaken by the Rail Mantralaya's concerned deptt. One time exercise bcoz station names are not changed frequently.
All email ids are available on the RTI section of the IR official website of all deptts of Rlys and hence email follow up is possible. There is nothing for Rlys to loose in this case and hence there will definitely be positive response.
