* Dear friend, you have done a good job by speeding it up as this train, as it is the slowest, longest and costliest option from Durg/R to Bhopal. Amarkantak presently take 16:10 hrs as against 9:25 to 13:00 hrs by other options. People take reservation for ET & BPL in this train only after other options are closed.
* Amarkantak can be speeded up further if stop at Uslapur (other stn of Bilaspur) instead of Bilaspur as the rake reversal shall not be required, a few kms of distance shall also be saved and busy BSP stn shall also be avoided.

* But one thing that is equally important is to improve the timing of this train, it would be much better if it it departs from Durg at least 2 hours later, so that it reach JBP at at or after 6:00 am because there is an appreciable traffic between Durg/R/BSP to JBP and a significant part of which travel by overnight buses.
* If above arrangement is done, the train may become fully occupied and a separate train daily train BSP-R-Durg-NGP-BPL-INDB Mahanadi express should be introduced to take care of ET, BPL, INDB (new connectivity) paxs which too are substantial in numbers.
