Some member had posted IR notice about Katihar Kumedpur 25000 volt energization at KIR station blog some days before. Also I saw poles and wires today at old Malda, 3-4 KMS from MLDT, where the train 14055 was stopped for 30 minutes, even then, it reached MLDT at 0320 hrs 15 minutes before scheduled arrival and waiting till 0350 hrs for departure.
The wires and poles made feel that KIR to MLDT electrification will complete in six months. It is to be seen whether ER shows such interest for MLDT to Pakur electrification.
