Trip shed maintenance is sufficient! If there are no major issues, then locos need to visit their home sheds only once a month for a monthly inspection. :)
Then I guess SBC Raj which got LGD WAP7 today, instead of GZB WAP7 (as some were saying), can be regular link to that train.
Because SBC has ETS which can look after (maintain) the loco link of that train with the LGD and RPM WAP7s it has. No need to depend on GZB.

Yes, there are no technical restrictions for that. Even MAS Raj used to with an LGD P7 (I am not sure if it still does) and the P7 used to clock several North-South trips before heading back to the shed. It will depend on SCR and SWR. If they can come up with a viable loco link plan, then SBC Raj can surely continue with it's LGD link.
