* IR recover only 57% of its cost, means that there is a subsidy of Rs 43 over a ticket purchased for Rs 57 i.e. 75% of the fare. But not every pax is availing this subsidy of 75%, it depends on the class of travel, hence the word "subsidy" is a misnomer here.
* Now IR expects even ACIII (& other ac classes) paxs to voluntarily shell out 75% extra for their tickets in the name of subsidy denial. * Infact ACIII paxs are giving profits to IR and now they are expected to shell out 75% extra for the inefficiency of IR and for heavy subsidy enjoyed by general/ suburban paxs. ACII & ACI shall be costlier than air travel...
