To decongest Kanpur, some trains should be made to bypass Kanpur via chandari-Govindpuri Junction - Panki towards Tundla / Agra Fort / Delhi.
DO you agree ?
Current, only 12275 / 76 ALD Duronto skips kanpur via chandari-Govindpuri Junction.
[ NOTE : Not only 1 2, 10 or 50, there are around 100 trains from Kanpur CNB towards Tundla & Delhi ].

am quite eager to share my views on the same. ;-)

Back to topic,
Many a times, we tend to conceptualize !DEAs, one of these is this topic. we forget or are unaware of other challenges which IR might face.
.
#1 Lets say, if some trains like 12393/94 Sampoorna Kranti SF Express (or trains which earlier had operational stop) are made to bypass KANPUR CENTRAL (CNB)
.
#1.1 Elimination of Staff change at CNB but which add 2 unnecessary stops (i.e. ALD n TDL) n wasting time
#1.2 next, what about food/water boarding, etc ?
#1.3 as some of these LHB trains are 130kmph capable, so NCR wud need to have 130capable LPs transferred to ALD/TDL adding to increase in operating cost. (koi transfer q lega, uski family distrb hogi)

#2 above points are applicable to RAJDHANIs GANG and DURONTOs as well.

#3 Also, CNB acts as XFER POINT for above trains pax to change train n move towards LKO/ETW/JHS/BNDA/FBD side as they catch other train which might not be possible to do so at GOY. "wud u like to take risk to go to CNB from GOY via auto/ola to catch other train (imagine ur ONWARD JOURNEY TRAIN is on time, n current one is late) ?"

#4 Since ages, nobody gave it thought to this bypass CNB, but once 12275/76 ALD Duro started using Good Avoiding Line (GAL) instead regular route after few years of inaugration. Yes ! you read correct, what we so called Railfans call it KANPUR BYPASS it is actually GOODS AVOIDING LINE (GAL KANPUR). Prior it most ppl didnt even have the slighest idea of this route. :p Wud u like to disturb freight movement on ndls hwh track ?

#5 ppl here might not might know LINE 3-4 are not linked to GAL so again adding to delay of train unnecessary. [attached handmade map for explanation, sry Macromedia Flash is not install currently :-( ]

IR kch sooch vichaar zaroor karta hai but is yet to reach a conclusion but uske phele media de chaapti hai. confusion starts.
its not a joke to shift trains. officials bht kch sochte hai. kch galat hoone pe they are responsible and accountable for it.
.
but this doesn't mean I am against de-congesting CNB. So we need to look for other measures for it. as in eg
*a Increase in no of pf at CNB
*b start using of 1A (the one at ALD end of pf1)
*c more use of pf10
*d quadrupling of LKO line (as CNB-CNBI portion of ALD line cannot be expanded)
*e automatic signalling of LKO line (as that of NDLS-CNB-ALD line)
*f shifting of CNB terminal trains to GOY/CPA (including MEMUs n PASS)
*g start using WYE at CNB. (map attached.)
.
Last, but not the least, feel free to ask or add something which in case I have missed out, i would love to answer (would also put more history/trivia if u r interested in it)
