One Video Clip of a China makes us salute the man.
The engine is being shunted and on the track one old lady is moving not aware of the coming engine. Though the speed of engine is slow but is not so slow that a woman can safely saved by braking the engine. Yet the driver applies emergency brakes, and shouts still the engine is not fully stopped, and by the time engine has reached near old woman, the driver jumps down the track and pushes her aside. The result is : woman is saved safely, but driver lost his one leg.

Driver is a Soldier.... who said he will do it again if situation arises.
and the Stupidity of the whole situation is that Woman wanted to cross the Track to reach other side. and the Bridge over Railway was just 150 meters away so she was reluctant to walk all the way up and down again at her age.
