Hi All,
I want to travel from Golden temple mail from Mumbai to Kota on 30th Sep.
Currently for sleeper class seat availability is WL/67
but if i am looking for Mumbai to Ratlam its status is WL/9

Yes you can do that ... But it depends whether the availability of the seat from Ratlam to Kota. Since its a day journey it MIGHT not be a problem and this is called taking CHANCE.
Also, the fare would be more than the CSTM KOTA fare when you buy ticket till Ratlam and then request for extension ...
