Recently Shivamogga intercity converted to SF, HAS - YPR is already a SF. Once doubling and electrification completes, expect few express trains to get converted into SF between SBC - MYS.
There are 3 other passenger trains running..Only 2 of passengers becoming express

No..... IRI shows there are 7 Pass between the 2 cities. Now the 5 am Pass and the TPTY train will be converted to Express, agreed. But still 5 will be left. Of which one will be via Kunigal. So still 4 Pass are there in the direct route. Badly researched article.

Who is asking the poor to travel by train only. Let them take BMTC. Right from morning 4 am I see 222A and many other buses to Kengeri. Let them take Bus Pass which works out well. Or daily Pass for 24 Hrs. Most of the articles and arguments are presented in a manner which assumes that if there are no trains there is nothing beyond.
Why does everyone keep forgetting that Bus is there - most widely used means of transport in this country (various state govt undertakings - city, village, intra-state, inter-state and also numerous private buses). In this case - World's largest Govt. City Bus fleet is there.

Railway fare is much much lower than any other mode of transportation. Either we should stop criticizing railways poor quality of service or we should stop criticizing them when they take some commercial measures.
