Wap5 are 6,000 hp engines max speed is 200km/hr but in India max speed is 160 km/hr by gatiman
Wap7 are 6,350 hp engines max speed is 140km/hr but currently 130 km/hr is the max with 12951/2
There are no Wap5 and wap5i such
Only wap7 and wap7i are there , wap7 have normal traction motors engine
where as wap7i have igbt based traction motors
And all loco runs on ac that is 3phase electricity power , and the current diffevers from 22kv and 24kv ..!!!
