Railways do not know what to prioritize and not to prioritize. Railways could have given good competition to airlines and buses in overnight routes but they are more interested in allocating new trains such as humsafar in ultra long routes, running premium A/C trains at odd timings, it is a very clear message. Sad story

Most people would switch to planes by 2050 for long distances. Only people with low income may prefer unreserved coaches for travel.
