Vaigai was introduced in 1977 whereas Pallavan only in 1984. Vaigai enters it's 41st year while Pallavan enters it's 34th year.

I still enjoy looking at old photos of Vagai exp and Pallavan express. I have seen old photos of these two trains. Vagai express used to have a beautiful unique livery.
