Yesterday's(21/08/2017) capture of SBC MAS DD. As usual, 22626's link was the one which brings in 22625. The loco for my train was 30331. My coach was 3rd from the loco. All along the melodious typical 3 phase twin tone honking was a pleasant treat to my ears.

I thought that Sangha got EMD from SBC to MAS because of E-Loco shortage - few years ago. Have seen many Freights too from JTJ side coming with UBL EMDs at WFD, due to shortage of E-locos.
WDP4 - was curious if it was used for Vaigai for its high speed capability. Else thought why not some Alco from GOC or ED.

For training purpose as well . Those WDP 4 were used for training SR crew in MS , VM , TPJ , MDU depot. When MAS LTT was running with EMD , MS crew trained MAS crew. Once after KJM link was withdrawn , GOC twins were given as link to Vaigai , MS GUV.
Yes even SCR didn't have EMDs . So Kjm would supply WDP 4 for many trains. KJM WDP 4 wasruler of SECUNDERABAD ginter section. Many KJM WDP 4D are employed at SECUNDERABAD. for sc gnt, sc mmr section. Even after gooty has wdp4d kjm still gives asthey are insufficient. I still wonder why WDP4 were not given to GY DLS.which is no. 1diesel loco shed,first one in of south india.
Yes! Lots of trains were linked with LSA of SWR trains. Infact Secunderabad was a second home for SWR EMDs ( few years back).
