According to official statement: "Total Commercial loss amounts to Rs. 74.04 crs. This is apart from the amount which has been refunded to passenger. The losses to other departments like Engineering, Signal & Telecommunication etc. are still being assessed"
So far I have heard, Railways will be looking for some permanent repair in the other bridge. Considering, temporary repair took 3 weeks, I can see Puja going like this easily. They are starting with limited number of trains. And the bridge has TSR of Stop Dead 10 kmph. The first goods train took 35 minutes to cover distance between Sudhani and Telta. Damage has been catastrophic! I have a feeling that permanent repair of the DOWN line will get over before or...
