IRCTC Retiring Room facility is excellent at most stations. But while planning a journey, the status of room availability at various stations on specific days is not available. This facility of status of "Retiring room availability" should be provided for on the same lines as that of "Seat availability" during PNR ticket booking. The IRCTC retiring room can be booked only after the PNR is generated for a confirmed ticket. However, sometimes rooms are not available at those stations after the ticket is booked and the PNR is generated. Then one has to cancel or alter the plans or look for alternative accommodation.
