IR must focus on track renewal project & completing the same by 2022. Bullet Train bhagao, Bharatiya Rail Bachao. IR is giving extensive focus on Bullet Trains & Bullet Trains only. Focus on the current & existing system is lacking priority & hence negligence in maintenance has become a regular affair or law in IR System. No one can stop train accident in India if the above mention scenarios are not done away with. Only 10% of Indian population can afford Bullet Train travel, Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi, & AC Class traveling passengers constitute only 25% of Indian Population. So 75% Indian population can't afford traveling in AC & 90% of total population of our country can't afford Bullet Train. Japan has only 2.25% of it's population in BPL category, 20 times less than...

I fully agree with your concerns about improving safety standards all across IR, sir. But it is not clear as to how postponing the High Speed rail project is going to help improve track standards in other places.
The loan being provided by Japan cannot be diverted towards the general improvement of IR as the loan was given solely for the HSR. And postponement will only make these costs escalate further. Either we take the loan and the technology and build a HSR, or we don't get anything.

Bhai tab to LHB bhi nahi aana chahiye thha 2003 mein. Us samay bhi humara fiscal deficit jyada thha aur railway ki haalat khasta thhi. Maintainance ki jarurat us time bhi thhi par humne LHB mein invest kiya taki aage chalkar railways mein kuch sudhaar aaye. Aur aj wohi ho raha hai. Sabhi chahte hain ki unke area ki train ko LHB mile kyonki LHB ka safar jyada comfortable hai aur comparatively surakshit bhi hai. Socho agar us time LHB mein invest nahi karte to aj kya hota? LHB ka safar shuru hua 1995 mein lekin pehli train mein chali 2003 mein. Matlab 8 saal to sirf LHB-LHB japne mein hi lag gaye.

Lakhon log bhukhe sote hai to kya Space programs,4/6 lane expressway expressway construction,etc cheezein bandh ho jaayegi? I can bet agar yeh train complaint karne walon ke area se chal rahi hoti,tab kuch nahi bolte. But is route ke alawa koi laayak hi nahi hai. India should be proud today.

the way politics takes every thing control in our country must be ended. India proposed a survey for HSR System in 1995, but The central govt that time feared loss in vote bank & cancelled the survey. Bullet trains are prefarable for countries having 1/2/3/4/5/6 Max. party system, not like our countries having 10000 political parties [as registered in NEC database]. 1st India needs to get out of politics, then every thing good can be possible.
