It is a very informative report, unfortunately it gives info of 9 months back, so from this report it seems the work is going on full swing and if not on time, it will be delayed at most by 6 months
The most important Bhaupur-Mughalsarai portion is lagging behind. And it can be confirmed by anyone who travels through the section. In the MGS-ALD section, the project is at basic stage and earthwork + bridge foundation laying is going on. The ALD-CNB section also is in the primary stage of earthwork but the work done till date, is more than the MGS-ALD section.
Considering that this part is the most important section of EDFC, it might take time and it seems difficult to meet exact deadline.

Sonnagar Chandauli has really good progress.

The information I provided was cumulative of my NCR trips around July end and September first week, which I think is pretty recent!
You know, MGS-Sonnagar section has triple line section for so long. Somewhere I feel that same would have been possible today if JEP-Karchana section was under MGS Division and NOT ALD Division.

The work of laying tracks and OHE in Chandauli Sonnagar section of EDFC was going on when I first spotted it 3 years ago while traveling through JSM-HWH Express. It is quite obvious that the section would be ready now. However, among all the sections of EDFC, it is pain to see the Bhaupur-MGS section having the least progress and its deadline is farthest. More pain for east India people for at least couple of years. After that, officials might shift the excuse as I suspect!
